Max Schaefer, Flagship Studios’ Chief Operating Officer, posted a news on Mythos’ official website, to announce that the list of potential beta testers has been erased, due to a faulty manipulation.
People who want an invite to the Mythos beta, during our spring cleaning for the Hellgate: London release, we accidentally deleted our list of invitation requests prior to November 1. Please accept our apologies, but this is what sleep deprivation does to people! So please resubmit your invitation requests, and we’ll promise not to do it again. And thanks again to our testers, you are the best game community on the planet!
People, you have two options: register again on Mythos.com. or drop on the Mythos IRC or our forums, and ask either Sulfuric or me (G-15) for an invite, of which we have tons
Taylor Balbi and Brennan Ieyoub have put together a video preview of Flagship Seattle’s quirky little game, Mythos. The video has been posted on YouTube by Kaiser Hwang.
The video contains interviews with Flagship Seattle employees Brock Jones (Producer) and Marsh Lefler (Game Programmer), as well as some footage from the most recent update to the Mythos Beta: Zone 2.
On the Mythos Beta forums, Mythos lead designer Travis Baldree has been updating the player base with the plans and changes coming in the next patch for Mythos’ Beta test. From bugfixes, to missing textures, to balance issues, and new features, Travis lists them all in his Not-really-a-blog-but-sort-of-kind-of post, which is being updated almost daily.
Some new-coming additions include the addition of Hardcore and Elite mode (for all players), achievements, a few new items, and adjustments to the quest log.
No date for the patch has been announced yet, but these will all be implemented before the larger Zone 3 addition that is also being worked on.
If you’re not in the Mythos Beta test and would like to join, don’t be afraid to tell someone on our forums. There is a thread made specifically for asking for and receiving invites. Alternately, you can join the Mythos IRC channel and ask Sulfuric or G-15 there.
The Mythos Guru team has been working towards organizing an IRC interview with the Mythos team, and we just got word that it will indeed take place !
This interview will be held on our own Mythos IRC channel, on Saturday December 1st, at 5PM PST. Oh, you probably want to know who will be invited. Well, there you go: Taylor Balbi, Community Manager of Mythos, and none other than Travis Baldree, lead of the Mythos team ! This is quite a line-up already, and the rest of the staff has been invited too.
You, the community, will be able to ask the devs all the Mythos-related questions you can think of, so start thinking about it
